Controller
About the role
Our business is rapidly growing and needs an experienced Controller to help with the continued development of financial systems, inventory management, and internal controls. The Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, they will provide leadership and direction in the areas of accounting, corporate reporting, inventory management, risk compliance, finance and treasury. This is a hands-on position which requires both leadership skills as well as strong technical accounting skills. The Controller will manage all finance and accounting activities to provide information, both financial and non-financial, to key stakeholders both in and outside of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform all activities needed to complete a GAAP compliant timely close
- Complete all required financial reporting
- Lead and develop the existing accounting/payroll team
- Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payables, expense reports, accounts receivables, cash control, payroll processing and applicable tax compliance
- Oversee the procurement and management of inventory at multiple warehouses
- Assist in developing cash flow models and all related treasury functions
- Work with the CFO and relevant teams to complete annual budgets
- Help in creating and reporting of companywide KPI's
- Participate in special projects
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA certification
- Minimum of three years previous experience with inventory management
- Minimum of seven years of hands-on accounting and managerial experience
- Previous experience with multi-state payroll processing and compliance
- Proven track record in leadership
- Advanced Excel skills
Pay
Salary: $140,000 - $155,000
