Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the domestic accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving.
- Identify opportunities for technical upskilling and knowledge-sharing to ensure the team is aligned with industry's best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency in transactional processing.
- Manage the financial close calendar to ensure stakeholders receive timely and reliable intelligence on company performance.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end global consolidation process, coordinating with regional controllers to ensure a unified and accurate global financial view.
- Manage day-to-day cash management for the USA entity, including real-time monitoring of liquidity.
- Lead the annual USA financial audit, serving as the primary liaison for external auditors to ensure a transparent and efficient process.
- Oversee USA tax compliance (federal, state, and local), collaborating closely with external tax partners on filings and proactive planning.
- Maintain and review standards and policies for internal controls to ensure company assets are protected, accurate, and properly accounted for.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is required.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with global consolidations and managing multi-currency environments.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP; experience with mid-to-large tier ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce and drive high employee engagement.
- Robust interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with stakeholders across multiple functions.
