Position Summary
The Controller is responsible for leading all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls for OP. Tech. This position oversees accrual-based accounting under U.S. GAAP, partners closely with executive leadership, coordinates with the Company's external accounting and tax firm, and supports both corporate and ownership financial matters.
Experience And Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations using U.S. GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare executive financial statements, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
- Oversee General Ledger, AP, AR, payroll accounting, fixed assets, revenue recognition, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models.
- Monitor profitability by customer, project, service line, and business unit.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Company's outside CPA firm for audits, corporate tax returns, sales/use tax, franchise tax, and annual financial reporting.
- Cover business and ownership financial information with external tax advisors while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Support banking relationships, insurance audits, and lender reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls and scalable accounting processes.
- Partner with HR, Operations, and executive leadership on strategic financial planning.
- Support multi-entity and multi-currency accounting activities as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Technology consulting, professional services, SaaS, or IT services experience preferred
- Strong GAAP, accrual accounting, and ERP experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Computer proficient in using Microsoft (Word & Excel) on a Microsoft or iOS platform, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Outlook
Physical Requirements
- Frequent: Work indoors in a home-office setting with minimal outside interruptions or distractions
- Frequent: Listen, hear, and talk in the English language; second languages are a bonus and may be utilized in certain circumstances
- Frequent: Frequently stand or sit for long periods of time at a desk and computer while using a phone
- Frequent: Walk, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull
- Frequent: Ability to have clear communication verbally and/or in writing
- Frequent: Must be able to lift 10 pounds

Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts

- Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested
Salary
The salary will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, location, relevant education, qualifications, experience, technical skills, and business needs.
