Controller

Role Description

The Controller role at HCA Florida Healthcare is a full-time, on-site position based in Lehigh Acres, FL. This role oversees day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger management, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the facility.

• Maintains compliance with internal controls, healthcare regulations, and corporate policies.
• Monitors departmental performance and analyzes financial trends.
• Collaborates with leadership to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Supervises accounting staff and supports audits.
• Works closely with clinical and administrative teams to optimize financial processes, maintain accurate records, and contribute to long-term financial stability.

Qualifications

• Strong financial management and accounting skills, including general ledger oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience with financial reporting, audit support, internal controls, and compliance with healthcare or highly regulated industry standards.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP software, spreadsheets, and reporting applications), with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
• Ledership capabilities, including team supervision, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration with clinical and administrative stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Prior experience as a Controller or in a senior accounting role, ideally within healthcare or a large multi-site organization.
