About the role
Katz Coffee is seeking a Controller to help lead our finance function, support our growing operations, and build the systems, processes, and insights needed to scale sustainably.Responsibilities
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about coffee, people, and building strong financial foundations.
As the leader of our small finance team, you’ll be a critical resource for our fast-growing company while doing a little bit of everything—from managing month-end close and maintaining balance sheet integrity to improving processes, supporting strategic decision making, and helping implement systems that allow the business to grow efficiently.
Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with team members across sales, operations, production, procurement, and leadership to support financial processes, improve visibility into performance, and solve problems before they become obstacles. Qualifications
- Passion for Coffee & Customers: We all share a love for coffee and are passionate about delivering exceptional experiences internally and externally
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, and inventory or manufacturing environments preferred
- Leadership: Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff preferred

- Tech Savviness: Strong proficiency with Excel required; experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or ERP systems preferred
