About the role

B&B Electric Inc. is a subsidiary of publicly traded EMCOR Group Inc. We aim to provide innovative, reliable electrical services to our customers, maintaining a personal touch throughout our operations. Our team of electricians ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage all operating unit assets including fixed assets and accounts receivable.
• Coordinate timely collections and payments.
• Prepare financial reporting packages and ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Ensure financial controls and records meet all regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Estimating for contract preparation and ensure timely communication of rate changes.
• Review contracts and leases, and manage claims and legal activity.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and conduct annual audit of stored records.
• Manage payroll, purchase orders, and other financial transactions.
• Monitor and analyze monthly overhead expenditures.
• Manage employee benefits and HRIS data.
• Lead and participate in special projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Business, with 5-7 years of recent related experience.
• Public Accounting experience and/or experience working for a public company preferred.
• CPA desirable.
• Significant working knowledge of financial and accounting practices.
• Experience overseeing human resources and employee benefits administration.
• P&L responsibility for $85-$90 million in revenue.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP Financial/Accounting software.

• Knowledge of construction contract language and terms.
