About the role

The Control Technician II - Support Operations position supports appliance manufacturing operations to ensure continuous monitoring of process parameters for producing high-quality parts and products with minimal scrap. This role involves troubleshooting, setup, and adjustment of machines and equipment, adhering to safety, quality, and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Process, setup, and troubleshoot assigned machines and equipment
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance
  • Complete changeovers as needed, including die changes and fixture conversions
  • Prioritize work and meet critical deadlines under supervision
  • Work with quality, engineering, maintenance, and other departments to support trials and material disposition
  • Proactively troubleshoot and analyze equipment and processes, implementing improvements and documenting progress
  • Monitor equipment using technology such as PLCs, smart boards, and shop floor displays
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to company policies and safety guidelines
  • Utilize a forklift to move parts, materials, and dies within the area
  • Rotate among jobs within the department to gain comprehensive understanding of the production process
  • Work independently and around moving machinery, robots, and equipment
  • Follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Pass a background check and drug screen

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; associate’s degree in a technical field preferred
  • One or more years of experience in manufacturing machine setup, troubleshooting, and mold change, preferably in a high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of PLC and capability to make minor adjustments
  • Experience with injection molding and/or vacuum forming processes preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances (+/- .0005 - .002)
  • Ability to work independently and around moving machinery
  • Available to work weekends and extended hours as needed, including shutdowns
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Able to complete an annual medical evaluation for respirator use
  • Able to operate and troubleshoot machinery, tools, and equipment
  • Able to obtain and maintain Fork Truck certifications/licenses
  • Exposure to equipment at elevated temperatures
  • Able to wear required PPE including steel-toed shoes and hearing protection

Qualifications
