Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for control systems and associated systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability according to standards established by the management team.
• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs to facilities to provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Perform repairs to failed equipment according to established standards and within acceptable timeframes.
• Provide notification of equipment shutdowns to appropriate leadership, departmental personnel, and Service Response Center Operators.
• Maintain documentation to accurately record equipment problems and failures, including work order completeness.
• Report major failures and equipment malfunctions to the Manager.
• Assist with, oversee, and/or inspect repairs or modifications performed by contractors.
• Demonstrate ability to perform controls systems skill sets and create a bill of materials from blueprints.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to complete Unit 200 Competency checklist tasks:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fire alarm response.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Incident Management Team (IMT) response.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of response to utility losses.
  • Demonstrate the ability to respond to an elevator emergency.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with leadership.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving maintenance duties for control systems and associated systems and equipment.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge depth for control systems and associated systems.
• Ensure work product meets expected criteria.
• Demonstrate accountability for customer service, professional behavior, personal work ethic, and teamwork.
• Demonstrate accountability for effective communication skills and management skill sets.
• Consistently demonstrate positive, responsible leadership and guidance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years' experience as a DDC controls systems service-related technician.
• Factory trained in a DDC system’s programming language.
• Building Automation System experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience.
• Honeywell building automation system experience.
• Commercial high-rise controls systems experience.
