About the role

As a Control Systems Specialist, you will design, specify, and optimize control systems to ensure critical operations run smoothly. You will collaborate with a skilled team, communicate progress to stakeholders, and take ownership of key segments of automation projects, including control philosophy development.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and optimize control systems using Honeywell Experion and TDC-3000
• Develop and implement safety systems (e.g., Honeywell Safety Manager)
• Lead segments of automation projects, including control philosophy development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate progress to stakeholders
• Travel regionally and nationally up to 25% of the time

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of control system engineering experience
• Hands-on configuration experience with Honeywell Experion and TDC-3000
• Experience with design and configuration of safety systems (e.g., Honeywell Safety Manager)
• Strong understanding of system architecture, graphics, and logic programming
• Ability to work in-office at either Houston, La Porte, or Corpus Christi, TX
• Willingness to travel up to 25% regionally and nationally

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred)
• Experience with other DCS, SIS, PLC, or HMI systems
• Familiarity with FEL/FEED and EPC project phases
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Valid control systems certifications (a plus)
