About the role
As a Control Systems Specialist, you will design, specify, and optimize control systems to ensure critical operations run smoothly. You will collaborate with a skilled team, communicate progress to stakeholders, and take ownership of key segments of automation projects, including control philosophy development.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and optimize control systems using Honeywell Experion and TDC-3000
- Develop and implement safety systems (e.g., Honeywell Safety Manager)
- Lead segments of automation projects, including control philosophy development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Travel regionally and nationally up to 25% of the time
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of control system engineering experience
- Hands-on configuration experience with Honeywell Experion and TDC-3000
- Experience with design and configuration of safety systems (e.g., Honeywell Safety Manager)
- Strong understanding of system architecture, graphics, and logic programming
- Ability to work in-office at either Houston, La Porte, or Corpus Christi, TX
- Willingness to travel up to 25% regionally and nationally
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred)
- Experience with other DCS, SIS, PLC, or HMI systems
- Familiarity with FEL/FEED and EPC project phases
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Valid control systems certifications (a plus)
