Responsibilities

  • Design, specify, and optimize control systems for critical operations.
  • Develop and implement control philosophies for automation projects.
  • Configure Honeywell Experion and TDC-3000 systems, including safety systems (e.g., Honeywell Safety Manager).
  • Lead segments of automation projects, ensuring system architecture, graphics, and logic programming meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of control system engineering experience.
  • Proven hands-on configuration experience with Honeywell Experion and TDC-3000.
  • Experience with design and configuration of safety systems (e.g., Honeywell Safety Manager).
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, graphics, and logic programming.
  • Ability to lead segments of automation projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally up to 25%.
  • Ability to work in-office at either Houston, La Porte, or Corpus Christi, TX.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Experience with other DCS, SIS, PLC, or HMI systems.
  • Familiarity with FEL/FEED and EPC project phases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Over a decade of direct control systems engineering experience, specifically within chemical and petrochemical sectors.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex automation projects.
  • Valid control systems certifications.
