Responsibilities
- Design, specify, and optimize control systems for critical operations.
- Develop and implement control philosophies for automation projects.
- Configure Honeywell Experion and TDC-3000 systems, including safety systems (e.g., Honeywell Safety Manager).
- Lead segments of automation projects, ensuring system architecture, graphics, and logic programming meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of control system engineering experience.
- Proven hands-on configuration experience with Honeywell Experion and TDC-3000.
- Experience with design and configuration of safety systems (e.g., Honeywell Safety Manager).
- Strong understanding of system architecture, graphics, and logic programming.
- Ability to lead segments of automation projects.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally up to 25%.
- Ability to work in-office at either Houston, La Porte, or Corpus Christi, TX.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE).
- Experience with other DCS, SIS, PLC, or HMI systems.
- Familiarity with FEL/FEED and EPC project phases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Over a decade of direct control systems engineering experience, specifically within chemical and petrochemical sectors.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex automation projects.
- Valid control systems certifications.
