Control Systems EIT/Designer

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design of complex supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems
• Aid in the selection and specification of process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment
• Aid in the development of biddable and technically accurate instrumentation and control system construction documents
• Aid in the development of software applications for automation such as programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI)
• Aid in system testing and commissioning activities
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel
• Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate (candidates without EIT will be called a Control Systems Designer and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression)
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment
• Experience with software applications for automation such as PLC and HMI
