About the Role
This position is located in Maryneal, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate plant resources to troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain plant equipment to meet production demands and prevent failures.
- Maintain awareness of plant operating costs and budget targets.
- Properly operate all process equipment included in the plant and the centralized control system.
- Assess unexpected equipment conditions and take appropriate corrective action.
- Understand and generate required operating reports.
- Understand air pollution control device operation and environmental permit requirements.
- Undergo additional training as new equipment and technology are introduced to maintain proficient skills.
- Perform other activities requested by Management consistent with this job classification.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Supervisory Skills.
- Familiarity with the cement production process, including pre-blending system, raw grinding, kiln/preheater system, cement system, and grinding systems.
- Understanding of equipment functions and proper operating principles.
- Basic knowledge of equipment control systems.
- Familiarity with basic concepts of cement manufacturing chemistry and quality control principles.
- Knowledge of basic quality control instruments and their operating procedures.
- Ability to follow basic electrical, mechanical, and plant safety rules and MSHA regulations.
- Proficiency in PC utilization and basic plant equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to work rotating shifts (travel may be required during training).
