Control Room Operator (Day/Night)

About This Role

A control room operator supports the Production Supervisor by overseeing all operating data for process units and facility utilities. Monitoring the essential systems is integral to steady state operations of the process in all steps.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating a Machine-System which is part of the Magnet Production process.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Monitoring, using, and interacting with machine control codes, computers.
• Providing valuable information to help diagnose machine issues.
• Reading system schematics.
• Conducting work according to standards set by the customer.
• Performing routine job inspections to ensure that the company polices are being followed and routine maintenance is being performed.
• Meeting production standards by monitoring machine performance to include managing run time and quality standards.
• Oversee the operational data for all active units and utility systems.
• Performing other related duties as assigned, including but not limited to tasks related to the furnace.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• At least a High School Diploma or GED, Associates degree is preferred.
• A strong work ethic and good communication skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively between all stakeholders, to maintain product quality and consistent output across the different systems within the organization.
• The ability to read and comprehend Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Knowledge in using Microsoft Office, and some familiarity with control systems.
• The ability to generate and comprehend production and job order reports.
• The ability to follow process steps and parameters and proficiency in the use of modern technology.
• A solid grasp of basic physics, math, and chemistry.

Additionally:

• Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing.
• Able to move up to 50lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
• Comfortable making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting and squatting.
• Able to tolerate variable and sometimes extreme physical conditions during visits or inspections of company equipment.
• Able to wear PPE.
