About the Role

A control room operator supports the Production Supervisor by overseeing all operating data for process units and facility utilities. Monitoring the essential systems is integral to steady state operations of the process in all steps.

Responsibilities

  • Operating a Machine-System which is part of the Magnet Production process.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Monitoring, using, and interacting with machine control codes and computers.
  • Providing valuable information to help diagnose machine issues.
  • Reading system schematics.
  • Conducting work according to standards set by the customer.
  • Performing routine job inspections to ensure that company policies are being followed and routine maintenance is being performed.
  • Meeting production standards by monitoring machine performance to include managing run time and quality standards.
  • Overseeing the operational data for all active units and utility systems.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned, including but not limited to tasks related to the furnace.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree is preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and good communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively between all stakeholders to maintain product quality and consistent output across systems.
  • Ability to read and comprehend Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Office and familiarity with control systems.
  • Ability to generate and comprehend production and job order reports.
  • Ability to follow process steps and parameters and proficiency in the use of modern technology.
  • Solid grasp of basic physics, math, and chemistry.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening, medical physical, and, if applicable, visual testing.
  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
  • Comfortable making repetitive movements including sitting and squatting.
  • Ability to tolerate variable and sometimes extreme physical conditions during visits or inspections of company equipment.
  • Able to wear PPE.
