Control, Electrical, and Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

DXP Enterprises, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Controls Automation Engineer to participate in project conceptual design and engineering, coordinate equipment fabrication, testing, and start‑up, and collaborate with project integrators and fabrication teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project conceptual design and engineering with project integrators.
• Coordinate equipment fabrication, testing, and start‑up activities.
• Review project contracts, proposals, specifications, preliminary drawings, and clarifications to determine scope, technical feasibility, and compliance with project objectives.
• Assist in developing controls, electrical, and instrumentation engineering documents required for design, customer approval, and fabrication.
• Interact with the fabrication/assembly team to resolve engineering issues that arise during production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering.
• At least 6 months of relevant experience in controls automation or related engineering fields.
