Control Actuation Systems Engineer I (Onsite)

About the role

The Precision Control and Actuation Systems department at Raytheon is seeking a candidate to join their team. This role is located in Tucson, AZ and is for a candidate who will be ready to contribute to the PCAS team with innovative solutions for challenging problems of mechanical/control systems and/or harness/interconnects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute your knowledge of engineering practices and problem-solving to perform mechanical design and development activities.
• Support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receiving inputs from program or team experts, and work on projects, determining and developing approaches and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, or systems design, engineering, and analysis.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Preferred majors: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing methods and processes, including machining, casting, forging, welding, and bonding.
• Experience in mechanical drawing practices, dimensioning, and tolerancing.
• 3.5+ GPA, internship or co-op, and/or hands-on experience with club/team (i.e. baja/formula racing, robotics, rocketry, EV, RC/UAV, etc).
