About the role

The Contracts Specialist will support the in-house legal team with sourcing, negotiating, and executing key commercial agreements in support of several large, high-value projects. This role focuses on procurement and supply chain (including autonomous vehicles), vendor and customer agreements involving complex and significant dollar values.

Responsibilities

  • Review, negotiate, and complete multi-million dollar contracts
  • Support the procurement and supply chain teams
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Manage contracts from initial review to final execution

Requirements

  • Significant experience reviewing, negotiating, and completing multi-million dollar contracts
  • Paralegal or Legal Operations experience with a large company
  • Prior experience supporting an in-house legal department in a contracts, paralegal, or legal operations role
  • Judgment and professionalism to work directly with business teams
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills

Qualifications

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable managing contracts through the full lifecycle
  • Experience with complex and significant dollar value agreements
  • Experience working within a legal department

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

The annualized pay for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).

Schedule

This role may be part time (at least 20 hours a week) or full-time and expected to last at least several months. A hybrid schedule is preferred, with at least two days per week in the office in Austin; remaining days may be worked remotely.
