About the role

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced procurement professional with a background in the construction industry to join the Procurement Department. This role offers flexibility and a collaborative work environment, engaging with local suppliers, developing solicitations, negotiating, placing, and administering a variety of complex contracts supporting technical organizations across NNL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to pass a Federal background investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter
  • Ability to pass a drug test in compliance with company policy and 10 CFR 707

Preferred skills

  • Experience/knowledge in construction procurements and contracts
  • Proven expertise in the lifecycle of contracts, including negotiation, placement, administration, and close out of standard and non-standard contracts
  • Experience in reviewing contractual requirements, identifying problems to make improvements, performing investigation and analysis, and developing solutions for complex problems
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing efficiencies
  • Experience managing contract documentation, including drafting amendments, correspondence, meetings minutes, and performance trackers
  • Experience developing and implementing contract strategies to manage and improve subcontractor performance
  • High level of efficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay

$78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually, based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Schedule

The role is primarily onsite, with the ability to telework up to two days a week, subject to business needs.
