Position Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external clients
- Assisting in development of acquisition/procurement packages and related documentation
- Reviewing and evaluating customer Requests for Proposal (RFP) for new business efforts and/or modifications to existing contracts
- Providing contractual recommendations, conducting risk assessments, creating mitigation plans, and proposing alternative approaches to contract execution through contract language revisions
- Negotiating contract terms and conditions with Subcontractors, Vendors, and Consultants
- Creating compliant Pricing and Cost volumes in response to Requests for Proposals
- Supporting a portfolio of new business captures (commercial and government) and existing commercial and FAR/DFARS-based contracts
- Coordinating and implementing new and revised contract policy and process
- Participating in development of business alliances, meetings with customers, source selection procedures and processes, make or buy determinations, and risk management directives
- Working directly with multiple customers developing critical relationships on various contracts (CPFF, CPIF, CPAFLOE, T&M, FPI, FFP, IDIQ, and OTA)
- Ensuring timely contract closure by initiating closeout activities as required by terms and conditions
- Developing and maintaining contract and procurement files
- Continuously evaluating and overseeing contract performance
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Must have and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SSBI and SCI access
- US Citizenship required
- Between 7 and 10 years of progressive experience in project and contracts management
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment within required deadlines
- Experience in the areas of Prime Contract, Subcontract, and Consulting Agreement drafting, reviewing, executing, administering and contract negotiating experience
- Self-starter, requiring little to no direct supervision, and has the ability to comprehend complex financial and business concepts
- Experience preparing pricing and cost narratives in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Excellent reading comprehension skills and demonstrated ability to analyze complex contracts clauses
- Experience working in an integrated team environment; able to operate independently as well as part of a team
- Organizational skills are required for this position in order to ensure the record of documentation is filed professionally and accurately for internal and external audit
- Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DFARS, and other governmental regulations for Defense Contracting
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Government service-type cost reimbursable, T&M, and fixed price Acquisition and Assistance management
- Competency in the areas of cost/price analysis, vendor selection, budget consideration, and special prime contract provisions
- Ability to serve as a primary point of contact for ICR with Government Contracting professionals
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 3 years of professional experience or 2 years of professional experience with a Master’s degree in a related discipline
Pay
Salary Range: $79,000 - $168,565 (based on experience and meeting requirements)
