About the role
A confidential, US‑based remote project for experienced contracts lawyers. The work mirrors everyday commercial practice: read the draft, mark it up against a playbook, and write down why. Work is conducted in English.
Responsibilities
- Redline commercial agreements (master services agreements, NDAs, data‑processing addenda and similar) according to defined playbooks and policy positions
- Identify the issues in each draft, pick the company position and the acceptable fallback
- Write short, reasoned explanations for every change you make
- Keep interpretations consistent with the rest of the project team
- Work independently to deadlines in a fully remote setup
Requirements
- JD and an active licence in a US jurisdiction
- Four or more years of transactional practice, at a firm or in‑house, centred on drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts
- Deep familiarity with the clauses that get negotiated every day: liability caps, indemnities, confidentiality, data protection
- Clear written analysis and consistently accurate contract interpretation
- Technology‑transactions experience is a strong plus
- No AI background needed; your contracting knowledge is the point
Pay
Paid hourly at $90 to $110.
Schedule
