About the role
The Contracts Coordinator supports the DGA’s contracts team in administering the DGA’s agreements, handling member and employer inquiries, investigating contract violations, and assisting with the grievance process.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for member and employer inquiries to the DGA’s New York office.
- Investigate contract violations and work with members and employer representatives to resolve them.
- Pursue violations through the contract grievance process, collaborating with colleagues in Los Angeles and the DGA’s legal department on arbitration claims.
- Support DGA executives through research and analysis, focusing primarily on the DGA’s Basic Agreement and Commercial Agreement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in administering or reviewing contracts, preferably collective bargaining agreements (exceptional entry-level candidates with a commitment to unions will also be considered).
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ability to maintain regular in-office business hours and attend occasional prescheduled meetings/events outside of regular hours.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to frame issues effectively.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Commitment to collective bargaining and union representation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, tact, and the ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback is encouraged.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $68,000 to $75,000 annually.
Schedule
This role requires on-site work in the New York office during regular business hours, with occasional prescheduled meetings or events outside of those hours.
