Responsibilities

  • Participation in the review and analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to identify and mitigate contract risks.
  • Prepare assumptions for inclusion into the proposal.
  • Review and prepare proposal documents for submission.
  • Monitor contracts.
  • Manage key negotiations.
  • Demonstrate ability to resolve multi-faceted and complex contractual/customer issues.
  • Aid and guide program teams with resolving performance issues.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with SPA policies.
  • Resolve issues affecting company compliance and ensure satisfaction of legal requirements and company and customer objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company and the customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts.
  • Organize and manage all necessary contractual records and documents in compliance with contract requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain excellent internal and external customer relationships, serving as a trusted advisor while collaborating with other internal departments to provide best in class support to program teams.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in contract administration, preferably within Intelligence Community.
  • Strong background and understanding of contracts to support hands-on proposal development and administration of contracts portfolio in private industry in a Non-SETA role, or six or more years of related work experience with MA/MS degree or higher (additional years of relevant experience may be substituted).
  • Knowledge of all contract types (e.g., Cost Plus, T&M, FFP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and related federal and state legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers; and proven ability to foster communication and reconcile internal issues or differences.
  • Able to effectively manage time and collaborate across a diverse set of department priorities.
  • Recognized expert at developing briefs and reports for leadership team review.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
