About the role

Peraton is seeking a Contracts Administrator, Senior Advisor to support our County of San Diego client under our Health, State and Local sector. This is a hybrid position. This senior-level individual contributor role requires an energetic and disciplined contracts management professional responsible for:

  • Administering, extending, negotiating, and supporting contract closeout of standard and non-standard contracts, task orders, and subsequent amendments.
  • Conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with Company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Supporting risk reviews for solicitations, ensuring terms and condition compliance, completing proposal compliance checks (color team participation), handling representations and certifications, assisting with proposal and pricing strategy, and developing the contracts volume (including OCI Mitigation Plans).
  • Serving as the negotiator for any resultant contract negotiation.
  • Advising the program team of contractual rights and obligations; compiling and analyzing data; and maintaining historical information.
  • Monitoring program performance for conformance to the original proposal and ensuring continual reviews to meet all terms and conditions, legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations.
  • Preparing and disseminating contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination information throughout the organization.
  • Initiating documentation to authorize and direct work in accordance with contractual specifications.
  • Maintaining contractual records and documentation, such as contract correspondence, customer contact information, contractual changes, status reports, and other project-related documents.
  • Supporting non-disclosure agreement and teaming agreement negotiations between the company and outside sources.
  • Fostering trusting relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ensuring the contracts system and filing are up to date in accordance with policies and procedures, and supporting general ad hoc reporting and tasking.

Requirements

  • Must be local to the San Diego, CA area and able to support a hybrid work schedule with an on-site presence at Peraton facilities and customer sites.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience, Master’s degree and 10 years of experience, or 16+ years of work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience supporting state and local government contracts.
  • Experience with large IDIQs and resulting Task Orders (preferred).
  • Working knowledge/understanding of State and Local contracting.
  • Business acumen with the ability to think critically and develop creative and practical solutions.
  • Experience with the development and negotiation of bids.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of contract types.
  • Strong writing and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Highly adaptable to change.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-moving environment.
  • US Citizenship required.

Pay

Target salary range: $112,000 - $179,000. Salary is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
