Responsibilities
- Organize and execute a business plan that meets territory sales goals and customer needs.
- Become an expert in all IKO products and programs.
- Engage professional contractors, builders, and architects to drive demand for IKO products and programs.
- Perform product demonstrations and education sessions related to IKO’s performance products.
- Spend 90% of time calling on contractors, builders, and architects to drive demand in a defined territory.
- Present products and programs to contractors, builders, and architects.
- Work closely with outside sales reps from IKO distribution channels.
- Utilize approved sales and marketing resources to engage customers and position the IKO brand.
- Collaborate with local TSR, DM, or RSM to understand market conditions.
- Monitor, analyze, and regularly communicate sales data.
- Work with local TSR or DSM to understand market pricing conditions.
- Conduct prospect calls and follow up on sales leads.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Management, or Marketing is preferred.
- Demonstrates good judgment and the ability to independently evaluate situations.
- Shows initiative in contributing to the company’s success beyond defined job responsibilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of data analysis techniques.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter who can work collaboratively.
- Previous experience in the building products industry.
- Experience with CRM systems.
- Sales analyst experience and a firm understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Previous experience in business-to-business sales or sales coordination.
- Good driving record and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
Work Environment and Travel
- Work is generally performed in an outside sales environment and home office.
- Up to 10% travel required.
- 80% local out-of-office time.
