Contractor Rep
Overview Of Job Responsibilities
Preparing safety observation reports and sharing them with project stakeholders upon request (e.g., weekly, monthly).
Serving as a liaison between the Project Team and contractor firms during field activities.
Participating in contractor HSE pre-planning meetings as requested.
Participating in contractor event investigations.
Providing technical interpretation of OSHA requirements and other applicable consensus standards for both construction and general industry.
Participate in safety team huddles and continuous improvement activities.
Engage directly with the workforce to influence safety practices, HSE principles, emergency response readiness, and hazard reporting expectations.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of construction and/or maintenance safety experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Previous contractor rep experience preferred
Physical Demands Of The Job
- Moving about long distances
- Ascending/descending stairs and ladders
- Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
- Working in extreme weather (hot and cold environments)
- Being exposed to loud noises
- Wearing personal protective gear correctly
