Contractor Program Security Officer

The CPSO/CSSO will lead security operations, ensuring personnel clearances and facility safety. We seek a dynamic leader with a strong background in security management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and steward Umbra's Security program, ensuring compliance with USG requirements.
- Develop a framework for continuous compliance with USG contractual, legal, and regulatory security requirements.
- Supervise security measures aligned with NISP requirements and related USG security standards.
- Collaborate with shared services teams to ensure a comprehensive security posture.
- Manage physical security policies and procedures, including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems.
- Maintain the west coast COMSEC account, conduct inventories, and load keying material.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify threats, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Create and provide security training for employees and contractors.
- Oversee employee clearances and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Perform regular audits of clearance status and collaborate with HR, legal, and compliance teams.
- Assist in developing individual Program Protection Plans.
- Travel approximately 25% of the time.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in security management, including NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, and DoD/IC regulations.
- 5+ years of experience as a FSO, CSSO, or similar role.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance, read-in within the past two years.
- Proven leadership skills and solid understanding of information security compliance.
- Familiarity with NRO/NGA security processes and Program Protection framework.
- Experience with COMSEC, CCI management, and NSA/CSS policy.
- Strong understanding of industrial security activities and proficiency in security documentation.

- Experience in aerospace or defense contractor environments.
- Demonstrated experience in security roles within the U.S. government and as a federal contractor.

Pay Transparency
The Compensation Range for this role is $135,000 - $165,000 DOE. Final offers will be influenced by skills, responsibilities, and relevant experience.
