Contractor - Facilities Technician (Facilities Maintenance Technician, 2)
About the role
Redwire RF Systems is seeking a Contractor - Facilities Technician up to 6 months, with the potential for full-time conversion. This position is on-site and will be located at our facility in Longmont, CO.
Responsibilities
- Follows standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, special test equipment and waste management systems.
- Facilitates subcontract maintenance activities when scope is beyond capable repair.
- Aids in miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving/assembly of furniture or materials within the facility.
- Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
- Performs preventative maintenance (PM) and maintains electronic PM system including task addition, modification and execution.
- Revolving around environmental test equipment, thermal chambers, ovens, RF test equipment.
- Non-Facilities tasks, to include assembly of production support needs, workstations, noncritical ground support equipment, office arrangement support.
- Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
- Able to read and understand drawings and work or build instructions.
- Drives company vehicle for required supply runs or product courier as delegated.
- Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years’ experience with additional specialized training and/or certification
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities
- Worked in/ around clean-room environments, ESD protocols
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Clean driving record with no major infractions or accidents
- Valid Driver’s License

- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and think proactively
- Able to problem solve and communicate across all levels of the organization
- Honest, trustworthy, reliable, respectful
- Good organization and time management skills
- First Aid and CPR training preferred
Skills
- Basic understanding to use basic equipment
- Machine shop skills

Pay
Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00/hour

We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
