Contracting Officer
About the role
This position involves providing technical guidance and contracting services to a well-respected team. Typical work assignments include performing pre-award and post-award work on various contract actions, developing and documenting acquisition strategies, reviewing requisitions, preparing solicitation documents, monitoring contractual milestones, and managing contract specialists.
Responsibilities
- Performing pre-award and post-award work on a variety of contract actions.
- Developing and documenting acquisition strategy for procuring supplies and services.
- Determining appropriate contract type, competition requirements, contract vehicle, and applicable FAR authorities.
- Preparing all solicitation documents necessary to support a variety of contract actions.
- Making decisions regarding sole source and other required documents.
- Reviewing technical and cost evaluation reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Managing the performance of Contract Specialist, Purchasing Agent, and Administrative Services Assistant.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must meet both the basic requirements and the minimum qualifications. You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level, including coordinating pre-award and post-award functions, developing Statements of Work, and analyzing proposals.
Qualifications

- GS-12: At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level, including coordinating pre-award and post-award functions, developing Statements of Work, and analyzing proposals.
- Must have successfully completed the applicable certification requirements including mandatory training as prescribed for federal procurement functions.
