Contracted Director of Nursing

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to provide contracted leadership services for a healthcare facility in Windham, New Hampshire. About the Role

The Contracted Facility Director of Nursing (DON) will provide clinical leadership, regulatory oversight, and operational guidance to ensure the highest standards of care, quality outcomes, and resident satisfaction within a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and regulatory oversight to ensure compliance with CMS regulations, state survey processes, infection control standards, and quality improvement programs.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance resident care, staff development, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.
• Ensure all staff members are trained and competent in their roles, and maintain ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Prepare for and manage facility surveys to ensure readiness and positive outcomes.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement in resident care and operational processes.
• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of electronic medical records and healthcare compliance systems.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Hampshire.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a hospice, skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute care setting.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or equivalent nursing management experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey processes, infection control standards, and quality improvement programs.
• CPR certification.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with electronic medical records and healthcare compliance systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Certification in Nursing Administration or Long-Term Care Nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a current RN license in the State of New Hampshire.
