Contract Specialist Level 2 (Contracting Services)
About the role
The Contracts Specialist Level 2 supports the award of $1B in consulting contracts annually, facilitating procurements and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Contracting Services division in managing procurements and awarding consulting contracts, including design, project management consultant, and staffing contracts.
- Creates and maintains contract files, documenting the procurement and decision-making process to ensure efficient operations.
- Provides status updates on relevant tasks and activities to senior management as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Finance, Government Contracting, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience in contracts and procurement.
- Basic knowledge of procurement principles, contract terminology, and relevant local, state, and federal laws.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of procurement principles and processes.
- Familiarity with contract terms, conditions, and relevant laws.
- Experience with local, state, and federal procurement laws and regulations.
