Contract Sales Representative
About the role
The Contract Sales Representative plays a crucial role in maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and executing projects efficiently. This position requires a combination of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Communicate regularly with customers to track job progress and seek out new business opportunities.
- Cultivate and secure construction plans and specifications for upcoming projects.
- Prepare and review bids and quotations for accuracy, submitting them on time and negotiating to capture jobs.
- Manage projects by coordinating with vendors, overseeing inventory, and ensuring quality control.
- Monitor project progress, document changes, and ensure timely change order acceptance.
- Report and escalate major issues to management as needed.
- Delegate tasks and coordinate site meetings to prevent and resolve problems.
Requirements
- Current and valid US driver's license.
- At least 1-3 years' experience with commercial doors and hardware.
- Knowledge of commercial door and hardware products and building codes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
