About the role
We are hiring for a Contract RN position at RHA Health Services. This position is an Independent Contractor (Direct Services) role.
Responsibilities
- Utilize skills and expertise to assess and monitor clients, participate in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment, and respond to crises.
- Participate in Person Centered Plan (PCP) meetings and develop plans as requested.
- Comply with Controlled Substances policy and procedures, maintain accurate inventories, and follow appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies.
- Maintain monitoring of consumers and take appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
- Assist team members with assessing learning needs and carry out teaching as indicated.
- Complete Quality Assurance (QA) activities as requested and participate in the QA process.
- Supervise employees by interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training; plan, assign, direct work; appraise performance; reward, motivate, discipline, and promote team performance; address complaints and resolve problems.
- Ensure license of other nursing staff is in good standing as appropriate.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- One year of nursing experience is required, with experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
- Some college training and/or management experience is helpful.
- A valid drivers license with personal vehicle insurance coverage is required (this is a condition of employment).
- Must demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level.
Qualifications
- Requires a unencumbered Registered Nursing License.
- Additional requirements may apply for certain behavioral health services.
