Contract Registered Nurse (RN)

About the role
As a Contract Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide total care for our residents, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism. This rehabilitation nursing position is a 90-day contract role offering a competitive salary of $50/hr. These positions are not eligible to receive benefits offered by the facility except those required by law.
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents' conditions and needs closely.
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders.
- Ensure compliance with narcotic policies and procedures.
- Monitor for side effects and report changes in residents' conditions.
- Oversee nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to ensure resident care plans are followed.
- Complete detailed documentation, including admitting and discharging residents.
- Report any bruises, skin tears, or signs of neglect.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements and facility policies.
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Kansas RN license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Desire to work with the elderly.
- Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.

Schedule
This 90-day contract position involves 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with the following schedule:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday.
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday.
- 3-day weekends every other weekend.
- Never work more than 3 days in a row.
- 7 days off every 14 days.
- Average of 2 hours of overtime every week.
Pay
$50 per hour.
