Core Responsibilities
- Advises business partners on contractual risk, required approvals, and compliance with internal management review policies
- Leads the preparation, negotiation, and execution of service agreements, bid contracts, and other contract vehicles
- Manages the contract change control process; develops negotiation strategies and leads negotiation teams on complex contractual matters
- Analyzes contract trends and assesses potential impacts on business unit goals and objectives
- Drafts and delivers training on standard form agreements, in consultation with the legal team and senior contract managers
- Serves as a subject matter expert in designated areas (e.g., Federal contracting)
- Acts as the primary point of contact across legal, finance, and business teams for resolving contract issues and disputes
- Supports integration of new business units and contributes to associated contract strategy development
- Identifies and implements improvements to contract administration policies and processes
- Escalates unique or highly complex matters to lead contract managers and/or legal counsel as appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in general business or contract management
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, experience, or military service will be considered
- Demonstrated ability to draft moderate to complex, non-routine contractual instruments
- Working to expert knowledge of contracting concepts, the Uniform Commercial Code, public contract acquisition law and regulations, and applicable international contract law
- Experience with cross-border transactions or international business environments
- Strong analytical, influencing, and communication skills; effective presenter and team collaborator
- Exercises independent judgment and creative problem-solving in resolving contract issues
- Skilled negotiator with both internal stakeholders and external parties
- Familiarity with corporate policies and procedures, with an eye toward identifying opportunities for improvement

Pay
The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
