Contract Home Health Physical Therapist

About the Role

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist to join a growing and dynamic team on the island of Maui. This is a 16-week contract assignment starting on May 4th, with occasional floating to cover Oahu, Kauai, and/or Big Island (all expenses paid). Responsibilities

• Provide home health physical therapy services with a focus on geriatrics, neurology, and orthopedics.
• Assess and address adaptive devices, assistive devices, body mechanics, and environmental barriers.
• Perform AROM/AAROM/PROM, pain assessment, sensory response, skin integrity, and strength testing.
• Monitor vital signs and breathing techniques, including care for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
• Documentation using MatrixCare with a productivity requirement of 25 units per week.

Requirements

• 1 year of home health experience (required).
• Experience with HomeCare or HomeBase charting systems (preferred).
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• Active or pending Hawaii Physical Therapist license (application must be in progress at time of submission).
• Scrubs (any color) and closed-toed shoes.

Pay

$60.00/hour.

Schedule

Full-time contract position, 5 days per week (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM).
