Contract Courier

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver packages or documents to clients and businesses within assigned timeframes
• Use your personal vehicle to complete deliveries (unless otherwise specified)
• Follow delivery instructions and routes, using a GPS or maps
• Obtain necessary signatures and maintain delivery records
• Communicate promptly with dispatchers or clients regarding delivery status
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Handle packages with care to avoid damage or loss
• Manage your own taxes, expenses, and work schedule as an independent contractor

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable vehicle (car, van, or bike, depending on delivery type)
• Smartphone with GPS/navigation capability
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Able to lift and carry packages (weight may vary by job)
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be 18 years or older (age may vary by employer)

Compensation

• Payment is typically per delivery, per hour, or per mile—depending on agreement.
• Couriers are responsible for their own fuel, insurance, maintenance, and taxes.

Days

• Monday- Friday 5:30 pm or later
• Saturday and Sunday
