What You Would Be Doing

- Submit new provider and organizational contract requests to commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care payers.
- Monitor contract application status and conduct routine follow-up with payer representatives to ensure timely processing.
- Maintain detailed tracking of all contract submissions and negotiations.
- Organize and maintain electronic contract files and documentation.
- Assist Contract Negotiators with administrative support throughout the contracting lifecycle.
- Coordinate contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as assigned.
- Collaborate with Credentialing, Revenue Cycle, Provider Operations, Finance, Clinical Operations, and Information Technology teams to facilitate successful implementation of newly executed agreements.
- Conduct reimbursement research utilizing payer fee schedules, Medicare, Medicaid, and other publicly available resources.
- Monitor and manage the Contracting shared mailbox.
- Maintain professional relationships with payer representatives and internal stakeholders.
Education
- Associates Degree or some college preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in healthcare, healthcare administrative support, provider contracting, medical billing, revenue cycle or a related healthcare administrative role.
- Experience working with commercial insurance and/or government payers is preferred.
- Hands-on experience completing and submitting credentialing applications for commercial payers, medicaid, and medicare.
- Must have basic knowledge of payer agreements.
- Prior experience working directly with payers.
- Experience following up with payers regarding application status.
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of payer credentialing and enrollment workflows preferred.
- Comfortable navigating payer portals and researching payer-specific requirements.
- Experience with electronic document management.

- Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Assist with investigating denials or authorization problems tied to credentialing status; escalates appropriately and proposes practical, compliant solutions when barriers arise.

Pay
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
