Contract Biologist - SRA

Our Cambridge-based biotechnology client is seeking a highly motivated Biology Contractor to support the development and execution of cell-based screening assays for an innovative oncology-focused drug discovery program. This is a long-term contract opportunity for a hands-on scientist who thrives in a fast-paced research environment and enjoys generating high-quality experimental data to advance novel therapeutic approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and execute cell-based assays across multiple cell lines
• Perform a variety of biological and biochemical assays, including AlphaLISA, HiBiT, ELISA, cell proliferation assays, western blotting, and qPCR
• Process and analyze ex vivo samples and associated datasets
• Accurately document, analyze, and communicate experimental results
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional research teams to support program objectives

Requirements

• B.S. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related discipline with 4+ years of biotech/pharma industry experience, or M.S. with 2+ years of industry experience
• Strong background in cell culture, cellular assay development, transfection techniques, and experimental data analysis
• Experience supporting high-throughput screening activities preferred
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
