Contract Allied Health Instructor (Medical Assistant / Phlebotomy Technician
General Responsibilities
We are seeking a knowledgeable, engaging, and student-focused Contract Allied Health Instructor to deliver high-quality training that prepares students for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) examinations. The ideal candidate will combine practical clinical expertise with a passion for workforce development, ensuring students gain both the hands-on technical skills and the theoretical knowledge required to excel in modern healthcare environments.
- Deliver comprehensive lectures and facilitate hands-on laboratory sessions covering clinical medical assisting and phlebotomy procedures.
- Train students in core NHA-aligned competencies, including venipuncture, capillary punctures, specimen processing, EKG administration, patient vital signs, infection control, and clinical workflows.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and HIPAA regulations during all laboratory activities.
- Manage lab inventory, ensuring equipment and supplies are utilized safely and efficiently.
Student Assessment & Support
Evaluate student progress through practical skill check-offs, quizzes, and mock certification exams. Provide constructive, timely feedback and individualized coaching to support students of diverse learning backgrounds. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, and skill competencies.
