Job Responsibilities
- Serve as an instructor for the college.
- Develop curriculum outline and design multiple modalities of instruction.
- Provide classroom instruction and clinical skills training for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program.
- Ensure class syllabus is up to date, curriculum guidelines are followed, and provide a student learning experience that enables them to pass the state nursing assistant exam.
- Provide assistance to students and administration by promoting nursing education.
- Participate in developing community outreach.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- An unencumbered active license as a registered nurse in South Carolina or another Compact state.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered or advanced practice nurse related to the primary area of responsibility.
- A valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Previous experience teaching at community/technical colleges.
- Experience using a variety of teaching modalities (face-to-face, broadcast and online).
- Teaching ability is a must, with a concern for student success and willingness to advise students on a regular basis.
