Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as an instructor for the college.
  • Develop curriculum outline and design multiple modalities of instruction.
  • Provide classroom instruction and clinical skills training for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program.
  • Ensure class syllabus is up to date, curriculum guidelines are followed, and provide a student learning experience that enables them to pass the state nursing assistant exam.
  • Provide assistance to students and administration by promoting nursing education.
  • Participate in developing community outreach.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • An unencumbered active license as a registered nurse in South Carolina or another Compact state.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered or advanced practice nurse related to the primary area of responsibility.
  • A valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Previous experience teaching at community/technical colleges.
  • Experience using a variety of teaching modalities (face-to-face, broadcast and online).
  • Teaching ability is a must, with a concern for student success and willingness to advise students on a regular basis.
