About the role

The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Contract Administrator III for a large educational client within Los Angeles County. This is a heavily administrative role focused on educational facility construction projects, requiring strict adherence to policies, procedures, templates, and applicable laws. The position is fully on-site at the PMO Office with no hybrid or remote opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with project management personnel at the PMO and College sites to develop and prepare procurement packages for selecting general contractors, design-build entities, and professional services providers.
  • Manage competitive bidding and selection processes for construction and professional services, from planning through award, including all administrative functions (e.g., preparing procurement documents, addenda, evaluation materials, approval and award documentation, and contract documents).
  • Adhere strictly to policies, procedures, templates, and applicable laws as a daily requirement.
  • Handle reporting, tracking, and quality control for assigned procurement processes.
  • Manage multiple concurrent procurement processes involving various stakeholders.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the department supervisor to meet District needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (relevant field preferred).
  • 5 years of experience relevant to the position; additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Knowledge of standard contract terms and conditions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Demonstrated reliable, responsive, and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and focused on quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately track and report status for concurrently running projects.
  • Fast learner and logical thinker.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with higher education capital improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of California higher education codes and California Community College codes.
  • Experience with electronic bidding software.
  • Experience with alternate project delivery methods such as Design-Build.
  • Experience with project management software.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $108,000–$113,000.
