Contract Administrator III [2530]

About the role

You will provide professional and administrative Contract Administration services to NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL, pursuant to standard concepts, practices, and procedures as described within the Federal Acquisition Regulations for pre- and post-award acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and accomplish goals under general supervision
• Complete all necessary closeout activities per the FAR and the NASA FAR Supplement (NFS)
• Support the Seventh Sense as a part of the NASA Agency-Wide Acquisition Support Services (AWASS) 2.0 program
• Perform tasks consistent with the regulatory requirements set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulations, NASA regulations, and MSFC organizational procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of equivalent experience OR high school diploma and 9 years of equivalent experience
• Public Trust clearance
• Mid-level procurement experience
• Ability to operate both on-site and via telework as part of a team
• In-depth working knowledge of one or more federal government contract writing systems (NASA uses SAP-ECC, PPS, and NCMS)
• Knowledge and skill in researching basic acquisition procedures and requirements in the Federal Acquisition Regulations
• Comfortable working with files on a SharePoint Site
• Excellent writing skills and effective communication abilities
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word

Qualifications

• Professional certification in contracting is highly desired
• Experience in NASA financial systems (NASA uses SAP) is highly desired

Pay

The proposed salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000 per year. This range reflects factors such as geographic location, skills, experience, training, certifications, contract-specific affordability, and organizational needs.
