About the role

Works under minimal direction to collaborate with end-users, Group Purchasing Organizations, and Contract Management for the sourcing of goods and services. This position will lead and support sourcing and contracting activities in assigned categories. Procurement and contract management experience is preferred. This position is under a hybrid work schedule with two days per week in office / 3 days remote.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the sourcing and contracting of medical/surgical products, equipment, and services for UT Southwestern in collaboration with end-users, Group Purchasing Organizations, and Contracts Management in alliance with contract compliance and expense reduction initiatives.
  • Responsible for ongoing vendor relationship and contract management.
  • Coordinates with end-users in preparation of RFX and provides direction on recommended sourcing approaches based on Contract hierarchy and federal and state regulations.
  • Implements a Value-Based selection process and positions the Office of Purchasing as a trusted advisor.
  • Reviews transactional data to identify opportunities resulting from improved pricing and verifies expected outcomes after implementation.
  • Coordinates contracts review and execution and tracks processes to fulfillment.
  • Reviews contracts to ensure that terms are in accordance with UT Southwestern policies and procedures.
  • Monitors contractors for HUB and insurance compliance in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Provides effective record keeping ensuring that all contract documents are readily accessible.
  • Compiles information and responds to internal and external audit requests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent or Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years of administrative experience with High School diploma or equivalent or 2 years of administrative experience with Associate's degree or No experience required with Bachelor's Degree
