Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all tactical and strategic sourcing and contracting activities regarding contracting and suppliers, including but not limited to: supplier selection, contract negotiation, conducting bids/RFP/RFI, contract implementation, contract utilization tracking.
  • Provide contracting support on new strategic programs and projects.
  • Maintain effective partnerships with distributors, manufacturers, and other suppliers.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Negotiate non-GPO contracts and review existing, new, and revised GPO contracts.
  • Manage the contract life cycle for assigned contracts from inception through execution, ensuring compliance with Legacy policies and department practices.
  • Develop, track, and report key performance metrics.
  • Manage a portfolio of low to medium complexity contracts, ensuring contract savings targets are met.
  • Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations on sourcing strategies, practices, and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of negotiations that mitigate risk to Legacy.
  • Support and recommend new standardization efforts relating to equipment, consumables, and services.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) for capital, medical, surgical, and service supply expenses.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure the sourcing process is embraced by the organization.
  • Manage all vendor performance, contracts, and relationships for assigned service line categories.
  • Effectively employ contract-related tools and maintain contract databases to department standards.
  • Provide assistance in procurement for high-value and/or high-risk projects as directed.
  • Participate in strategies that advocate Lean Management and standard work protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, healthcare administration, or a related field—or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Minimum of two years of contract administration or supply chain management experience, including direct contract and sourcing expertise or related business field experience.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • CMRP certification preferred.

Skills

  • Proficient at developing and understanding competitive bidding documents and costing models.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of driving contract negotiations related to products, equipment, and service procurement.
  • Proficiency with sourcing and knowledge of supply distribution alternatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Proven ability to work independently and on a team, model accountability, and establish and monitor expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer and vendor relationship management affecting positive stakeholder outcomes.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, assess and mitigate risk, and initiate resolution.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, research, analytics, presentation, facilitation, organization, and training.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with all stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Pay

USD $41.04 - USD $61.16 per hour.
