About the role

Join Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a Contract Administrator and play a key role in supporting the University's procurement and contracting operations. Reporting to the Director of Procurement Services, you will oversee the University's contract management lifecycle, ensuring agreements are compliant, strategically managed, and aligned with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the University's electronic contract management system, ensuring contracts are maintained, monitored, and renewed in a timely manner.
  • Review, analyze, and process contract packages for completeness, compliance, and alignment with University policies and procurement requirements.
  • Cooky navigation/legal/EEO/scam-warning boilerplate removed for brevity.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • One to three years of experience in procurement, contract administration, accounting, finance, or a related business function.
  • Knowledge of procurement principles, contract management, and supply chain processes.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate contractual risk and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across the University.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with contract management or procurement software systems.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience administering contracts in a higher education, government, or public procurement environment.
  • Experience with Workday Strategic Sourcing or other enterprise procurement and contract management platforms.
  • Familiarity with state and federal procurement regulations and competitive solicitation processes.
