Continuous Visual Monitoring Technician-Delnor Patient Monitoring Part Time Nights

Schedule

Three 8-hour shifts per week, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) and rotating holidays throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous safety observation via continuous video monitoring of patients identified to be at risk for causing injury to themselves or to others.
• Offers basic comfort measures to help the patient relax and addresses the emotional needs of specific patients served, including the use of encouragement, distraction, coping strategies, cognitive stimulation activities, and de-escalation techniques within the scope of this role as appropriate.
• Monitors multiple patients via continuous video monitoring onsite at Delnor Hospital.
• Provides effective verbal redirection of designated continuous observation patients from engaging in risk behaviors and summons appropriate staff via communication device/STAT Alert Alarm when appropriate.
