Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Facilitates strategic initiatives that will aid in improvement or implementation of new systems, processes, services or cost-effective solutions.
  • Conducts work on complex projects requiring the origination, scope, validation and application of new and unique approaches.
  • Leads and facilitates various Kaizen events (i.e. VSM, TPI, PSK, SMED, SWfF, PCK, 3P, and FFV), and drives identification, implementation and monitoring of improvements.
  • Leads, facilitates and coaches continuous improvement teams to find root causes and/or actionable items using lean manufacturing tools.
  • Develops and manages Site CI Roadmap to monitor and track success in terms of stated goals.
  • Leads DM cadence to identify trends, and use 80/20 principles to lead improvement initiatives to support customer and business requirements.
  • Works with each function to implement dashboards and KPI’s to drive operational excellence.
  • Pairs with various business functions to implement 5S and Visual Factory best-practices throughout the facility.
  • Performs other activities and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
  • 6 years working in a lean manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts and 5S
  • Previous participation in various Kaizen events
  • Supervisory experience is preferred

Essential Physical/Mental Abilities Required

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Individual is required to sit for long periods of time, occasionally required to walk, stoop, use hands to finger (keyboard), talk and hear
  • The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000.
