Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop educational material and provide training as needed on Lean and continuous improvement.
  • Lead Lean Projects such as Value Stream Map across the Business Unit.
  • Lead problem solving activities (5Whys, Ishikawa diagram, A3).
  • Support the PU site managers to define the yearly strategy with the X-Matrix / TTI / Action Plan processes.
  • Train to develop an efficient Lean Daily Management that drives improvement through problem-solving culture.
  • Facilitate and coach Kaizen Events.
  • Coordinate the Kaizen process: funnel management and follow-up across the Business Unit.
  • Generate data to support and enhance Operational KPI’s.
  • Support leading specific missions to drive improvement when needed to close a gap.
  • CIS initiatives follow-up and consolidation.

  • Education And/or Work Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field.
    • A master’s degree in Lean Manufacturing, Management Engineering or MBA would be an asset.
    • Valuable that candidate has a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
    • Experience in Lean Manufacturing Manager/Champion or similar position.
    • Experience leading Value Stream Map projects.
    • Knowledge of Daily Management process.
    • Experience facilitating Kaizen Events and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Experience with Lean Methods (5S, SMED, TPM, 3P, Kanban or standard work) and problem solving (5Whys, Ishikawa diagram, Noise to Constant…) and ability to teach them.
    • Experience in the Hoshin Kanri / X-Matrix process.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
    • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment.
    • Project management experience.
  • Technical Skills/Physical Requirements:
    • Advanced user of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, …)
    • Fluent English, other languages bring a plus.
    • Good oral and written communication.
    • Team building and facilitation skills.
    • Embrace the red mindset and ability to transmit it.
    • Initiative.
    • Sense of urgency.
    • Hands on attitude.
    • Confident in own abilities to make quick decisions.
    • Clear thinking and prioritization skills.
    • Structured and with good capacity of analysis.
  • Travel - 25% - 50% of the time.
