Description

Sportech is a rapidly growing company in Elk River, MN. We are seeking talented individuals to join our values-based team that supports our customers and employees. We design, manufacture, and assemble components for powersports, golf and turf, industrial, and agricultural markets. Pay ranges from $90,000 to $115,000 annually, with potential for bonuses and overtime. The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead process improvement initiatives across the business.

About the Role

The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead process improvement initiatives across the business, collaborating with various departments to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. They will facilitate problem-solving, coach team members, and develop training programs. The role requires a strong background in manufacturing and continuous improvement, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with a visible and engaged leadership style that empowers and promotes involvement, communication, clear expectations, accountability, and a passion for excellence.
  • Develop and lead world-class processes in alignment with company vision.
  • Support the development of a plant-wide continuous improvement culture.
  • Lead projects to drive employee engagement, increase organizational capabilities, and foster a culture of change agents.
  • Facilitate problem-solving within the department and with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve profitability and process efficiency.
  • Provide expertise and develop training and coaching on waste reduction, lean concepts, value stream mapping, and cost improvement methods.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to track, monitor, and achieve financial improvements from project scopes.
  • Recommend, support, and implement improvements, modifications, or additions to work processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and apply new technologies to meet company goals and capacity expansions.
  • Develop Business Cases (ROI) for capital projects.
  • Coach, mentor, develop, and grow direct reports.
  • Manage and hold team accountable to organization policies and procedures.
  • Lead by example and align with company core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing and continuous improvement experience required.
  • Demonstrated motivational, leadership, and coaching skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement change positively impacting overall department and company performance.
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly skilled in working in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cross-functionally drive results.
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Some travel required.
