About the role
The Lean Process Supervisor leads continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, reduce waste, improve quality, and support business performance. This role supervises daily operations, drives Lean methodologies, and works cross-functionally to enhance processes and achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain continuous improvement systems, processes, and tools to support organizational objectives.
- Train and mentor team members in the use of Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques.
- Develop and implement process changes to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitor and report on the progress of continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Understanding of practical application of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles and tools. (Value Stream Mapping, 6S, etc)
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data, quantify improvements, and use tools for root cause analysis.
- Experience in process improvements, a background in relevant industry and experience implementing lean methodologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with department’s managers and supervisors.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Industrial/Process Engineering or equivalent experience required.
- In addition, two to five years experience in developing and implementing production/process methods and with at least three to five years experience in a manufacturing/automotive industry required.
- Effective workshop facilitator skills required; experience in leading teams, driving change and delivering results.
- Knowledge of lean concepts including Toyota Production System principles required.
- Proven track record in Lean manufacturing and success in implementation of redesigned processes.
- Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt or Lean Master Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Total Quality Management and Change Management experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Sound delegation skills accompanied with effective ability for follow-up.
- Proficient with windows based software.
